Trés Bien Creamery was founded in Penngrove, California by Keith and Adrianne Johnson with their three beautiful daughters, Jasmine, Roxanne and Savannah.

It was a family project that started out as a 4-H project.  A herd of 3 goats made up from the Alpine Breed.

Their names are Vanilla, Vicky, and Vanity.  Their oldest daughter, Jasmine, won grand champion at local fairs 3 times with her doe, Spirit (who was added later).  They added a couple from the LaMancha breed. Then added some Saanen’s and Nubians. Soon they had a herd of close to 400 goats!

Their father, William Johnson and nephew, Joshua Thomas, have thankfully helped with much of the milking and renovation of the milking parlor and cheese plant.  With almost 200 milking goats, they needed a new location. They were blessed to find Ridgewood Ranch had a place for them in Willits. They have been included as part of the tours on the ranch.

In April 2019 we moved our cheese operations to Ontario, CA.

Our team is amongst the most talented in the industry, and it would be our pleasure to put our extensive experience to work for you. Owner/operator Keith Johnson has been in the dairy business for over 25 years.  Because of his love for cheese and the dairy industry, Keith has thrown himself into every aspect of the industry and by doing so it has lead him to artisan cheese making. He is grateful for the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by renown Bay Area cheese makers.

Making cheese is not just a business for Keith, it’s a passion!
